Dr. Mike Saatkamp

is the owner and founding doctor of Saatkamp Healing Arts (previously, The Healing Arts Treatment Center or Sheboygan Healing Arts). He grew up in Torrance, California and attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles, California, graduating in 1984. After school, he moved to Plymouth, Wisconsin to work with his late uncle, who was a Chiropractor. He started his own practice in 1986 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with his wife, Shelly. Within 5 years he opened over 20 “Chiro-Health Care Centers” throughout Northeast and Southeast Wisconsin with the help of a few friends/co-workers.

After moving to Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1991, Dr. Mike focused his practice to serve the greater Sheboygan County area. Along the way, he has accumulated over 12,000 hours of post-doctoral studies in Neurology, Movement Science, Nutrition, and the newly emerging field called Interpersonal Neurobiology.

Dr. Mike treats patients with a wide variety of special needs, physical, mental, and behavioral disabilities, as well as conditions such as diabetes, migraine headaches, back and neck pain, thyroid disease, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and many more.

Dr. Mike possesses a strong compassion for the mental and emotional well-being of his patients- not just the physical. He can be found chatting up a storm in the treatment room with a patient who loves to talk too, or playing a brain game with a child with autism, just the same.

Dr. Mike lives in Sheboygan with his wife, Shelly, daughter, Maren, and their dog, Lainie. Dr. Mike’s older daughter, Helena, lives in Milwaukee and works for Saatkamp Healing Arts.
